दिल्ली पुस्तक मेला की मुख्य थीम बनी ईबुक
दिल्ली में आयोजित दिल्ली पुस्तक मेले की मुख्य थीम के रूप में इस बार ई-बुक्स को लिया गया। यह भारत में ई-बुक्स की बढ़ती लोकप्रियता और उपयोगिता की ओर संकेत देता है। मेले के दौरान ई-बुक्स से जुड़े विविध कार्यक्रम हुए और हजारों ई-बुक्स प्रदर्शित की गईं। पुस्तक मेला में ई-बुक्स के प्रति दिखाई दिए उत्साह ने स्पष्ट कर दिया कि हिंदी और दूसरी भारतीय भाषाएँ किताबों की दुनिया में एक नई रचनात्मक क्रांति के लिए तैयार हैं, और वह है- ई-बुक क्रांति।
Kindle ebook sales overtake Amazon print sales
Amazon.co.uk has said that sales of its Kindle ebooks are now outstripping its sales of printed books.Underlining the speed of change in the publishing industry, Amazon said that two years after introducing the Kindle, customers are now buying more ebooks than all hardcovers and paperbacks combined. According to unaudited figures released by the company, since the start of 2012, for every 100 hardback and paperback book sold on its site, customers downloaded 114 ebooks.
